My first bike had the rubber wheels (without air) and I was about 9 also. A kid was making fun of my bike, which I shared with my three sisters, and taunted me by trying to bully me into racing him down the alley. If I thought I stood a chance I would have taken him on, absolutely!. Luckily, I didn't bite the bait, he sped off, as fast as his feet could crank the pedals. In a flash, a car broad sided him, breaking both of his legs and arms. He was tied up for awhile during which time I reflected on how much I really loved my cheap rubber wheeled bicycle.

Comment on Sunday Drive

FYI... the voices in the navigation system are named Sugar and Honey. We made a pact before we left that we would follow their directions whether we disagreed with them or not. That was fun. We should have taken a map, though. Next time.<BR>And, the fish hatchery was underwhelming compared to the ones we have been to in Oregon and Vancouver, but the ride was beautiful. And, it was strange that the parking lot was full of cars, but there were no people there but us. OOHHHHHH a haunted fish hatchery (we later found the people, a bunch of boy scouts).

Comment on Trip to Rutgers

What a great pic! The Padres lost. Pick a new team!
